A Bulgarian-Slovenian business forum took place in Lyublyana, hosted by the Slovenian Chamber of Commerce and Industry

The event was officially opened by Traycho Traykov - Minister of the Economy, Energetics and Tourism of Bulgaria, Mrs. Daria Radich - State Secretary of the Ministry of Economy of Slovenia , Mr. Tsvetan Simeonov - BCCI President, Mr. Sdenko Pachek – President of the Slovenian Chamber of Commerce and Industry .

Mr. Simeonov introduced the activity of the BCCI, the services offered by the Chamber to the business and its role in intensifying the connections between the two countries.

Presented were the investment possibilities in Bulgaria and Slovenia, the projects of the Bulgarian party in the field of road infrastructure and forthcoming projects to be financed with European funds under the Operative Program “Transport”; the activity of the Bulgarian-Slovenian Chamber of Commerce and Industry established in 2008, as well as the example of successful investment by a Slovenian company in the person of Gorenje.

The program of the forum continued with bi partite meetings between Bulgarian and Slovenian firms. In the forum participated 18 Bulgarian and 55 Slovenian firms working in sectors of mutual interest – telecommunications, IT, trade in metallic articles, construction, wholesale trade, real estates, pharmaceutical industry, foodstuff industry, transport and forwarding, organization of exhibitions and fairs, etc.
