BCCI and Haskovo CCI Cancel Meetings with the Business and Celebration of the Vine-grower’s Day



 
In connection with the tragic events which took place in municipality Harmanli and the declared national day of mourning, the Presidents of the Bulgarian Chamber of Commerce and Industry Tsvetan Simeonov and of Haskovo Chamber of Commerce and Industry Yancho Yanev decided to call off this year’s meetings with the business and traditional celebration of the Vine-grower’s Day.

Part of the funds intended for the traditional event will be redirected to the fundraising campaign aimed at assisting the residents of the region affected by the floods. In an official letter BCCI will invite all persons invited to the celebration to make a contribution in accordance with their abilities to the fundraising account of the Bulgarian Red Cross, opened for the victims of the floods.


BCCI and Haskovo CCI remain available to provide assistance in improving the infrastructure in the flooded region now or at a later stage. The two organizations may also grant their expertise and provide consultations on how to apply for funding under projects, as well as with regard to new initiatives and other activities for protection of the population and prevention of natural disasters and catastrophes.
