Tsvetan Simeonov opened a seminar training for employers, employees and labour unions
The programme is designed to encourage companies not only to remain in the light sector of economy, but also to really benefit from “standing in the light”, said Tsvetan Simeonov to the participants. The topics covered in the seminar programme include both issues concerning workers and matters related to employers. The President of BCCI reminded that the lack of trained qualified specialists, meeting the needs of employers and the production processes, is a serious problem of Bulgarian economy which is yet to be resolved. Therefore, ways to increase workers’ efficiency must be sought. The theme of adaptability of workers to the requirements of the labour market was presented by Prof. Katya Vladimirova, lecturer at the University of National and World Economy, Sofia in the field of human resources management and labour economy and the labour market and employment policies related to them.
Companies that develop corporate social responsibility have learned from experience that the cares for their employees, the environment and public works, improve the company’s standing in society. The interest of customers to companies which apply corporate social responsibility in their corporate policy is increasing progressively percentage-wise. The existence of codes of conduct, like the one BCCI long boasts, increases the trust of customers in those providing products and services. This is important because not every company has the time and financial resources to conduct its own research on other companies. Corporate social responsibility is another indicator for a company’s reliability.
Corporate culture requires efforts to be made in the field of intermediation and mediation for out-of-court settlement of disputes and company problems, instead of having endless battles in court with the ultimate goal of eliminating a partner until recently. Every kept client is a signal to others, that they have a reliable and long-term partner.
The President of BCCI reminded that the GS1 system is the future when it comes to exchange of information along the entire supply chain – from the manufacturer to consumers. This is an internationally acknowledged standard also used by the World Customs Organization, NATO, and the World Postal Union. The standard for exchange of electronic messages Eamcom merged with the standard of the Economic Commission for Europe for standardization of documents. Electronic commerce is already gaining momentum, as is electronic exchange of information. Applying this standard saves billions of euros – from establishing the content of goods to submitting applications to the store, traceability of goods and removal of defective or flawed goods from the market.
Each of the selected topics included in the seminar is practically oriented towards the activities of participants to improve their competitiveness and visibility in the market.
