New website of the ABC Women Entrepreneurs Council





 
The General Assembly of the Association of Balkan Chambers /ABC/ continues today in Nicosia, Cyprus with discussions about the role of chambers of commerce and industry in the conditions of crisis and economic difficulties.

The Deputy Minister for European Affairs of Cyprus Mr. Andreas Mavroyiannis made a presentation on the preparation, challenges and priorities of the upcoming Cyprus Presidency of the Council of the EU in the second half of 2012. 

Investment attractiveness and interesting projects for investors on the Balkans were also discussed at the meeting. 

Female entrepreneurship, European policies in this area and measures for its promotion were also emphasized during the meeting. 

The President of BCCI Tsvetan Simeonov presented the new website of the ABC Women Entrepreneurs Council www.rcci.bcci.bg/abc-wec developed by BCCI. The Women Entrepreneurs Council was established with the Association of Balkan Chambers in 2011. The website provides information about women entrepreneurs on the Balkans and is another opportunity for fruitful collaboration.

The Association of Balkan Chambers was established in September 1994 on the initiative of the Bulgarian Chamber of Commerce and Industry. Its main task is to assist companies from the member-states in developing bilateral and multilateral relations and to promote the liberation of trade on the Balkans by making concrete proposals to governments.
