The newly appointed Bulgarian Ambassador in Albania visited BCCI
The newly-appointed Ambassador of the Republic of Bulgaria in Albania Dimitar Arnaudov visited BCCI before setting off for Tirana. Various aspects of the bilateral and multilateral relations in which Bulgaria and Albania participate were discussed. The President of BCCI Tsvetan Simeonov informed our new Ambassador of the Chamber’s relations with partner organizations in Albania. BCCI maintains excellent contacts with the Union of Albanian Chambers of Commerce and Industry, the Chamber of Commerce and Industry of Tirana and the joint Bulgarian – Albanian Chamber of Commerce.
Mr. Arnaudov presented his priorities as Ambassador and said that he will work to improve not only the political but the economic relations as well. Some of his goals are to restore the direct flight service between the two countries, to promote mutual investments and trade. Another important task is completing the section of Corridor 8 Sofia – Skopje – Durres with a railroad.
Our new Ambassador drew attention to the fact that Bulgarian companies are presented with the huge opportunity to participate in the privatization of tourist sites in Albania – a process which has not been completed yet.
A Bulgarian – Albanian business forum is envisaged to take place in Tirana in June. Interest has already been expressed by the Albanian partners to meet and contact Bulgarian companies from the sectors of light industry, agriculture, farming, food industry, chemical industry, pharmacy, cosmetics, finance, energy, tourism, furniture production, etc.
BCCI will provide utmost assistance for the successful visit of the forum by the Bulgarian delegation.
