BCCI and the Association for Freight Forwarding, Transport and Logistics discussed the sustainable development of freight forwarding and logistics

The two organizations join efforts to train managers in the field of freight forwarding and logistics

At BCCI a meeting was held with Mr. George Minchev, President and Mrs. Polixena Krastanova, Executive Director of the Bulgarian Association for Freight Forwarding, Transport and Logistics (NSBS). The association is a long-standing member of the Chamber and a member of the Council of Sectorial Organizations. Recently it celebrated its 20th anniversary and was awarded with an Honorary Diploma by the BCCI on the occasion.

Issues related to the efficiency of freight forwarding and the complex servicing of the supply chain were discussed at the meeting. The active inclusion of transport to and from Bulgaria and transit through our country in the European multimodal transport system, in which the freight forwarder organizes and integrates shipment by sea, river, road, railway and air in one common transport chain, was pointed out as a perspective for future development.

BCCI and the Bulgarian Association for Freight Forwarding, Transport and Logistics discussed uniting their efforts to train managers in the field of freight forwarding and logistics using modern technologies for distant learning. Special attention was paid to the implementation of GS1 standards in freight forwarding and transport.

The parties agreed to organize a presentation of the services of the Arbitration Court with BCCI for the members of NSBS, as a means for expedient hearing and resolution of disputes.

The President of BCCI confirmed readiness for operational cooperation, based on openness, dialogue and quick resolution of all problematic issues of interest to freight forwarders.
