The new Ambassador of Indonesia to Bulgaria visited BCCI
On 2 May 2012, the President of BCCI Tsvetan Simeonov met with the newly-appointed Ambassador of Indonesia to Bulgaria, H.E. Mr. Bunyan Saptomo.
Mr. Simeonov acquainted his guest to BCCI’s activity and emphasized the Chamber’s excellent cooperation with the Embassy of Indonesia in Sofia. Ambassador Saptomo defined his mission in Bulgaria as encouraging the positive relations not only on governmental level, but also for promotion of the business relations between Bulgaria and Indonesia. His previous experience includes diplomatic offices in Australia, China, Vietnam, Canada.
The Ambassador shared that he will be very active with regard to businesses and therefore, on 7 May 2012 at 10:00 a.m. in Hotel Yasmin, Sofia, Simeonovsko chaussee, a meeting with Bulgarian businessmen with interests in Indonesia will be held. The Former Ambassador of Indonesia Mr. Immanuel Inkiriwang, who at present is Counselor at the Indonesian Chamber of Commerce and Industry, will be special guest of the event.
Another initiative of the Embassy supported by BCCI, will take place in October 2012. Bulgarian companies will visit Indonesia for business and tourism and in order to attend the Trade Exhibition in Jakarta and Bali.
Ambassador Saptomo provided information about the economic development of Indonesia, which has a well-developed agriculture due to the country’s climate which allows for 3 crops annually. In 2012 the country expects an economic growth of around 6%.
