Meglena Kuneva and her team visited BCCI







 

The President of the Bulgarian Chamber of Commerce and Industry (BCCI) Mr. Tsvetan Simeonov and members of the Executive Council of the BCCI met with Mrs. Meglena Kuneva and her team representing the “Bulgaria for Citizens” Civil Association. 
During the meeting positions on fundamental economic and civil society issues were exchanged, such as:

• Public procurements;
• Efficiency of the public administration, reducing the terms for provision of administrative services and determining sanctions for not meeting the deadlines;

• Reducing the number of administration staff by outsourcing administrative activities to civil society organizations in accordance with officially announced criteria;

• Decreasing administrative fees;

• Implementing e-Government and electronic voting; 

• Simplification of procedures related to EU funds absorption; increasing the percentage of advance payments; including the credit departments of banks in the evaluation of tender offers and provision of financing for the approved projects by these banks;
• Expenditures on science to be co-financed by the business and state, and incentives for the business to be introduced.

At the end of the meeting the parties agreed to organize a meeting between Mrs. Meglena Kuneva and the sectorial organizations - members of the Council of Sectorial Organizations with BCCI in the nearest future.
