BCCI signed Memorandum of Understanding with CCPIT, Dalian Sub-council







 
The Bulgarian Chamber of Commerce and Industry hosted business meetings with Chinese companies from Liaonin Province. Representatives of the China Council for the Promotion of International Trade, Dalian Sub-council were also among the official guests. The series of business meetings were opened by the President of BCCI, who stressed that Chinese delegations most actively seek cooperation with Bulgaria. BCCI will work to help Bulgaria remain a source of stability on the Balkans and will support the Government’s efforts to establish good and stable international relations, Mr. Simeonov added. 

Mr. Lu Yongming, Economic and Commercial Counselor at the Embassy of the People’s Republic of China to our country, welcomed the Chinese business delegation led by Mr. Li Bozhou. He pointed out Bulgaria’s advantages as an investment destination – favourable geographic location, political and economic stability.


Li Bozhou, Chairman of CCPIT, Dalian Sub-council introduced the audience to the economy of Dalian. The city is situated at the Southern end of Liaodong Peninsula and covers an area of 12 000 sq.m. Dalian opened its doors to the world in 1984. Its geographic location is advantageous due to its proximity to Japan, Korea and Russia. Ship-building, machine-building, IT and telecommunications are key sectors of economy in Dalian. The city is an important maritime transport and financial center. 60% of China’s ship-building industry is concentrated in Dalian. Foreign companies in Dalian are over 13 300. In 2011, FDI in Dalian reached USD 11,012 billion. 


The first Economic and Technological Development Zone in China is situated in Dalian, as well as a High Tech Industrial Park. The city is an important tourist center. During the official part of the event, the Bulgarian Chamber of Commerce and Industry and China Council for the Promotion of International Trade signed a Memorandum of Understanding to further their relations.
