BCCI presented a statement at the International Labour Conference on behalf of Bulgarian employers



 
On 6th June, the Secretary General of the Bulgarian Chamber of Commerce and Industry Vasil Todorov, made a statement on behalf of Bulgarian organizations of employers before the participants in the 101st regular session of the International Labour Conference.
Emphasis in the speech was placed on youth unemployment and the measures proposed by Bulgarian employers’ organizations to reduce it. The statement focused on improving the quality of education and training entrepreneurial skills in young people. 
The Secretary General of BCCI also discussed the changes introduced in the Bulgarian Labour Code in 2012, regarding the criteria for representativeness of employers’ organizations. They have placed serious hurdles before the tripartite dialogue and contradict the international principles, the most important of which is independence of employers’ organizations – both financial and institutional.
