The Ambassador of Yemen visited BCCI
The President of BCCI Tsvetan Simeonov met with Mr. Ahmen Alkadasi, Charge d’Affairs a.i. of the Embassy of the Republic of Yemen in Sofia.
Issues concerning the bilateral cooperation were discussed. The need to balance the trade between the two countries was ascertained.
Mr. Alkadasi informed about the upcoming fourth session of the Joint Economic Cooperation Committee, which will take place in the autumn of 2012 in the capital of Yemen, Sana’a. BCCI will help organize the session of the Joint Committee.
The parties discussed the possibility for BCCI and the Embassy of Yemen in Sofia to organize an information meeting in order to introduce Bulgarian companies to the business opportunities provided in Yemen and to promote trade between the two countries.
According to information of the Charge d’Affairs a.i. of the Embassy of the Republic of Yemen in Sofia, his country’s annual export to the European Union amounts to EUR 200 million, on the basis of a cooperation agreement signed in 1998.
