BCCI participated in a meeting of the UN Economic Commission for Europe dedicated to international trade



 

BCCI’s Vice President Georgi Stoev and Vice President of Vratsa Chamber of Commerce and Industry Iliyana Filipova are taking part in the Fifth meeting of the UN Committee of Commerce for Europe dedicated to boosting the economies in transition. The session is held in Geneva and focuses on the conditions of market access that the companies operating and trying to establish trade relations with economies in transition face.
 “We put great emphasis on the improvement of the conditions and the adoption of common standards to address the challenges facing these countries, especially problems arising from the export and import procedures, documents and quality security”, Mr. Stoev said.
Ms. Iliyana Filipova from Vratsa Chamber of Commerce and Industry participated in a discussion aimed at formulating economic recommendations for Kazakhstan.
Mr. Stoev, who is also Vice President of the Bureau of the UN Trade Committee, continues his participation in the meetings of the Bureau in Geneva.
The sessions are structured in such a way that the exchange of views and proposals arising from the discussions can serve as the basis for the Programme of activities of the Committee for Trade and its subsidiary bodies.
Another topic that will form the focus of discussions is "The possibility to track in support of efficient, safe and secure supplies in global chains.
Separate discussion will focus on "green" economy in the region.
