Delegation from Jilin Province, China visited BCCI
A delegation from Jilin Province, China visited the Bulgarian Chamber of Commerce and Industry. Among the guests were the Deputy Governor of Jilin Province, the Deputy President of the Jilin Provincial People’s Association for Friendship with Foreign Countries, the Vice Director General of the Foreign Affairs (Overseas Chinese Affairs) Office of Jilin Province, as well as a representative of the Management Board of the largest meat processing company in China. Jilin Province is situated in Northeast China and occupies an area of 180 000 sq.m.
The largest meat processing factory - Jilin Province Changchun Haoyue Islamic Meat Co., Ltd. is located in Jilin Province. It is also the largest exporter of veal in Asia. The company exports its products to 23 countries. Half of China’s veal exports are carried out precisely by Jilin Province Changchun Haoyue Islamic Meat Co., Ltd. The company is worth 7 billion Chinese Yuan.
The President of BCCI introduced his guests to the advantages of Bulgaria as an investment destination – low taxes, low state debt, strategic geographic location. Bulgaria is the closest European state to Asia, Mr. Simeonov stressed. The Chinese guests got acquainted to the registration procedure for limited liability companies and were informed of the possibility for foreign companies in Bulgaria to offer real estates. According to BCCI’s President Tsvetan Simeonov the economic stagnation experienced by European countries will help to further intensify economic cooperation with Asian countries. According to Mr. Simeonov, Bulgaria and China can successfully cooperate in the field of sausage production, agriculture and automotive industry. Bulgaria is experienced in processing agricultural produce and has the necessary equipment for this purpose. Bulgarian companies work in compliance with EU standards, which is a prerequisite for successful cooperation with foreign partners.
By autumn, the Bulgarian Chamber of Commerce and Industry will organize a presentation of the company in Bulgaria and will assist its representatives who will visit our country to research the Bulgarian market. In Jilin the largest company processing agricultural produce is situated, as well as the largest Chinese automobile manufacturer. The Bulgarian Chamber of Commerce and Industry was invited to organize a business delegation to visit Jilin Province and attend the 8th China Jilin Northeast Asia Investment and Trade Expo which will take place in the period 6th – 11th September 2012.
