For the second consecutive year the Bulgarian Chamber of Commerce and Industry and the Ministry of Economy, Energy and Tourism awarded the most successful Economic and Commercial Service Offices (ECSO).
The ECSO Romania was awarded first place and presented with a Hermes bronze statuette and a diploma by the Minister of Economy, Energy and Tourism Deliyan Dobrev. Ivan Kitov /Secretary General of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs / awarded 2nd place to ECSO China congratulating him on the assiduous work thanks to which the country's image around the world was being improved wishing him further success. Borislav Stefanov /Executive Director of the Bulgarian Investment Agency/ awarded 3rd place to ECSO Russia.

BCCI and MEET Annual Awards for Economic and Commercial Service Office
The ECSO Romania was awarded first place and presented with a Hermes bronze statuette and a diploma by the Minister of Economy, Energy and Tourism Deliyan Dobrev. Ivan Kitov /Secretary General of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs / awarded 2nd place to ECSO China congratulating him on the assiduous work thanks to which the country's image around the world was being improved wishing him further success. Incentive awards were bestowed to ECSO Austria, ECSO Georgia and ECSO Turkey presented by BCCI President Tsvetan Simeonov.
The award criteria have been drafted together with the Ministry of Economy, Energy and Tourism evaluating the contribution to:
1. Increase of Bulgarian exports to the relevant country;
2. Attracted foreign investment to Bulgaria;
3. Foreign tourists attracted from the relevant country;
4. Active collaboration with Bulgarian business representatives / provision and dissemination of economic information, assistance in organizing business visits in the relevant country, holding of business forums and meetings/.
Over the period from 10th to 16th July 2012 BCCI conducted a survey among its members assessing the activity of the Economic and Commercial Advisers of the Republic of Bulgaria abroad.
The purpose of the survey is to improve the collaboration, representation and awareness of Bulgarian companies abroad.
The results indicate that 34% of the respondents have used the services of ECSO. It is interesting that only 5% of the respondents said that their seeking a service or support was denied by the ECSO. However, the need for information about a particular sector, company or a business partner emerges as the underlying issue in the present study. This is testified by 76% of the respondents in the study.
This year the business has distinguished the ECSO in 6 countries for having rendered excellent services. The commercial councilors in Turkey, Russia, Romania, Vietnam, the Czech Republic and Ukraine gained distinction.
BCCI and MEET award was bestowed for the first time on 1st December 2011 to ECSO Vienna during BCCI’s Annual Awards ceremony /to distinguishing the most successful companies, regional Chambers of Commerce and Industry, sectorial organizations, foreign ambassador, foreign commercial councilor and media/.
