BCCI and Beijing University will work together to help improve communication between Bulgarian and Chinese businesses

Beijing University is implementing the “How to do business with China” programme, which was developed in the beginning of 2012, Prof. Lv Feng from Beijing University informed during a meeting held at BCCI with Mr. Georgi Stoev, Vice-President and Mr. Vasil Todorov, Secretary General of the Chamber. The programme aims to promote opportunities for improving communication between Bulgarian and Chinese businesses.
Prof. Lv presented the programme and pointed out several reasons for his visit to Bulgaria. First of all, studying the Bulgarian business environment and presenting it to China in an adequate manner. Secondly, providing assistance to Bulgarian companies interested in the Chinese market.
Mr. Stoev explained that BCCI has hosted numerous events dedicated to the Chinese economy. Besides, the Chamber and its members have enjoyed great interest by various business organizations from a number of Chinese provinces. The Vice-President of BCCI said that the capacity of Bulgarian businesses, and particularly the size of production, does not match the expectations of the Chinese partners.
The Secretary General of BCCI Vasil Todorov presented the activity of the Chamber and its cooperation with the Chinese Embassy in Sofia and Chinese business associations.
The parties agreed that BCCI and Beijing University will work together in order to train, both in theory and in practice, Chinese students and young businessmen from China and Bulgaria how to do business in the respective country.
Prof. Lv advised Bulgarian companies willing to enter the Chinese market to “Regard China rather as a combination of Provinces with various markets, mentality and interests, than as a whole”.
