Meeting with the Ambassador of Iran to our country at BCCI

During the meeting trade and economic relations between the two countries were discussed






 
The President of BCCI Tsvetan Simeonov met with H.E. Gholamreza Bagheri Moghaddam, Ambassador of the Islamic Republic of Iran to Bulgaria. Bilateral economic cooperation was discussed at the meeting which was held on 4 September 2012 per request of the Ambassador.  

Ambassador Moghaddam informed that the two planned visits to our country of local officials and business representatives from the East Azerbaijan and Zanjan Provinces have been postponed.

Mr. Simeonov provided information about the measures taken to solve a commercial dispute which has arisen between an Iranian company and its Bulgarian partner out of court, with the assistance of BCCI and the Embassy. The President of the Chamber recommended an arbitration clause to be included in all commercial contracts signed between companies and recommendations by the respective chamber of commerce and industry to be required for specific new partners. 

Ambassador Moghaddam presented data about the economic development of Iran. In 2011 the country had 5 % economic growth. Besides, significant investment in the extraction of natural gas and oil was made in order to increase the obtained quantities.
