The Honorary Consul of Bulgaria for East Flanders Willy Van Impe presented at BCCI a training programme project for young people with disabilities

Consul Van Impe brought up the question of a possible official participation in the Gent Fair. He informed about the upcoming arrival of the new Belgian Ambassador to our country – Ms. Anick Van Calster.

During the meeting a new project was discussed aimed at developing a training programme for young people with disabilities. The Bulgarian Chamber of Commerce and Industry will also play its part by providing various opportunities through its network – for example by allowing experts’ reports to be used for training in the educational centers.

The other dimension of the project is finding appropriate jobs for the interns after they have successfully completed the programme.

Mr. Van Impe has been an Honorary Citizen of Gabrovo for three years, awarded by the Municipal Council for his contribution to strengthening the friendship between Municipality Gabrovo and Aalst Municipality, Kingdom of Belgium and for the successful realization of joint initiatives in the field of social services and healthcare.
