More information to maintain a competitive business environment in Bulgaria

Dr. Spassov carries out the functions of Ambassador of Bulgaria at the Permanent Mission of the Republic of Bulgaria to the United Nations, OSCE, the multilateral regimes for non-distribution and export control, and the European Union Agency for Fundamental Rights located in Vienna.

During the meeting Dr. Spassov presented the main priorities of his mission and discussed with the President of BCCI possible cooperation in the work with international organizations in order to find and use additional opportunities for Bulgarian businesses. The possibility to express proactive position in a number of UN agencies and committees whose resolutions and proposals directly affect companies was discussed. Among those are the unutilized opportunities provided by the Nuclear Energy Agency, the Industrial Development Agency, the United Nations Commission on International Trade Law, etc.

The parties agreed to work closely together in order to achieve and maintain a competitive business environment in the country. Dr. Spassov will be informed on a daily basis about the most important issues concerning the 52 000 companies – members of the Chamber and the Bulgarian economy as a whole by BCCI as an independent source.
