BCCI provides more free services in favour of business
During the first day of the 120th jubilee Technical Fair in Plovdiv the new services provided by BCCI in favour of business were presented. The President of BCCI Tsvetan Simeonov and the Secretary General Vasil Todorov accented on the issuance and validation of more than 25 000 foreign trade documents annually: certificates of origin; verification of the signatures of the representatives of registered legal entities placed on export invoices, declarations, contracts, production certificates, price lists, offers, etc. The Chamber provides assistance for the validation of invitation-declarations for business trips of foreigners to the Republic of Bulgaria.
The Arbitration Court with BCCI is an institution with long-standing history in the field of resolution of commercial disputes, resolution of civil disputes, as well as disputes for filling-in blanks in contracts or adapting them to newly-arisen circumstances, regardless of whether the legal seat or domicile of one of the two parties is in the Republic of Bulgaria. The new electronic Internet-based platform of the Arbitration Court was emphasized.
Among the novelties presented were the projects of BCCI targeted at the business. The services provided within those projects are free of charge and cover a number of areas: the electronic commerce platform EСomGrid (Electronic Commerce Grid) - www.ecomgrid.com – an Internet portal with Bulgarian and English version, developed in pursuance of the contract signed between BCCI and Polygon Group Ltd., which provides the medium and necessary tools for establishment and management of business contacts between companies.
BCCI also presented the database of industrial zones/parks in Bulgaria kept by the Chamber - http://www.bcci.bg/bulgarian/zones/. The project aims to promote those zones and to attract potential investors. At present the database contains information about 64 industrial zones in the entire country.
The Register of debts DEBTNET was also presented - http://www.bcci.bg/debtnet.html. Its aim is to help companies and administration collect their receivables in due time and reduce intercompany indebtedness.
One of the new services of the Chamber is the promotion and distribution of food vouchers in pursuance of the contract signed with Sodexo Pass Bulgaria. In view of this, BCCI recently supported the open letter to the Minister of Finance requesting the voucher system to remain to the advantage of workers and employers by the end of the year.
During the presentation it was announced that the number of GS1 members is now 3 950, while the newly-registered members in 2012 are 246.
Special attention was paid to the project “Increasing public intolerance to informal economy in labour and social security relations and preventive actions for its restriction” implemented with the financial support of Human Resources Development Operational Programme and co-funded by the European Social Fund of the European Union.
More than 300 seminars, events and trainings for employers, workers and employees and trade unions were held as part of the project in the entire country. Discussion clubs were established on the territory of the country – 1 in Sofia, 5 in the regions, and the establishment of 23 more clubs is forthcoming. A Virtual Social Academy has been working for a year and provides FREE consultations on labour and social security relations, company behaviour, corporate social responsibility, business ethics, increasing the adaptability of workers and employees.
