The newly-appointed Bulgarian Ambassador to Japan visited BCCI
The President of BCCI Tsvetan Simeonov and the newly-appointed Ambassador of Bulgaria to Tokyo Georgi Vasilev discussed the potential for development of trade and economic relations between Bulgaria and Japan. In the past Ambassador Vasilev occupied a position in Vietnam.
During the meeting it was ascertained that in general there is knowledge about the economy and business of the two countries, but that it lacks specificity.
President Simeonov offered the assistance of BCCI and the Bulgarian – Japanese Economic Council to this end. The following sectors of economy were outlined as most perspective for bilateral cooperation: automotive industry, including automobile parts and accessories, electronics and production of electrical equipment, textile industry, etc.
The upcoming celebration of the 40th anniversary of the Bulgarian – Japanese Economic Council, which will take place in Tokyo in mid-December, was also discussed.
