Under the patronage of BCCI the National High School in Finance and Business starts preparing for the celebration of its 100th anniversary





On the occasion of the upcoming 100th anniversary of the National High School in Finance and Business in 2013, the President of BCCI Tsvetan Simeonov and the Director of the National High School, which was founded on the initiative and with the financial support of Sofia Chamber of Commerce and Industry, discussed ideas for the official celebration of the jubilee. BCCI experts will provide methodological assistance to the students from the High School for the development of projects. Competitions and awards for the winners are envisaged.

The National High School in Finance and Business in Sofia is a descendent of the Sofia High School of Commerce for Boys, which was founded in 1913 and officially launched on 25 February by the President of Sofia Chamber of Commerce and Industry Ivan Grozev. The other descendent of the Sofia High School of Commerce for Boys is the National Trade and Banking High School.
 
In the beginning of the century, the rapid development of trade and industry and Bulgaria made it necessary for vocational training of the required experts to be organized. This task was entrusted to the chambers of commerce and industry which financed vocational courses and established vocational schools.
 
Every year the students of the National High School in Finance and Business take active participation in the processing of the data from the annual financial reports of 5000 companies included in BCCI’s classification “TOP 100 – companies leading in the economy of Bulgaria”.
 
These are all evidence that cooperation between the business and vocational training is of utmost importance in order to train good specialists who will help promote our country’s economic prosperity.
