New Commercial Counsellor of Japan









 

Today, the Vice-President of BCCI Mr. Georgi Stoev met with representatives of the Embassy of Japan to Sofia. The meeting was organized on the occasion of the upcoming departure of Mr. Mitsushige Mori, Third Secretary – Economic Issues at the Embassy of Japan from our country.
 
After three years of active cooperation in the field of bilateral economic relations between Japan and Bulgaria, Mr. Mori will now occupy a similar position in Latvia. Mr. Mori was awarded with an Honorary Diploma for his active collaboration with the Bulgarian – Japanese Business Council at BCCI. 
 
Mr. Stoev was introduced to the new Commercial Counsellor at the Embassy of Japan Ms. Sayaka Otsu who presented several of the goals she has set out for her mission. Among them are studying the current situation of Bulgarian business and outlining specific possibilities for cooperation with Japanese partners. Ms. Otsu is coming from the Diplomatic Mission of Japan in Mongolia. 
 
Mr. Stoev presented the activity of BCCI and the Bulgarian – Japanese Business Council. He outlined some of the upcoming business visits in the two countries. By the end of 2012, representatives of the Japanese company Mitsui Energy, which has expressed interest to cooperate with Sofia Airport, and of company Sumitomo, which invests in agriculture, are expected to visit our country. In mid December a Bulgarian Investment Seminar will be held in Tokyo to mark the 40th anniversary of the establishment of the joint business council.
