A meeting was held with a Philippine investor called "NTEGRATED MICRO ELECTRONICS - IME"





The President of the Philippine company “Integrated Micro Electronics” (IME) Arthur Tan met BCCI’s President Tsvetan Simeonov. The meeting was attended by Jiles Bernard, Executive director of the European branch of the IME, Rene Ledesma - Honorary Consul of Bulgaria in the Philippines, Aleta Ledesma - Honorary Consul of Monaco in the Philippines and Ognyan Trayanov - Honorary Consul of the Philippines in Bulgaria. 

 
Mr. Tan informеd about the activities of IMЕ in Bulgaria. In 2011 the company acquired the subsidiaries of the Belgian company - manufacturer of electronic equipment "EPIQ" in Bulgaria, the Czech Republic and Mexico. IME is a company specializing in the design, manufacture and assembly of electronic and electromechanical systems. In Bulgaria IME owns the factory EPIQ Electronic Assembly Ltd. in Blagoevgrad. The plant employs about 1300 workers and intends to expand its operations in the near future. The production is export-oriented and designed for the automotive sector, the household electronics and the industry. The company manufactures products and components for major global automakers like VW, GM etc.
 
Tsvetan Simeonov presented the BCCI’s activities, the membership in international organizations and the work of the Arbitration Court at BCCI. The President of the Chamber welcomed the intention of IME to expand its investments in Bulgaria in the future as well, especially with opening new 1000 jobs.
