Companies from Spain discussed infrastructure, agriculture and transport with the Bulgarian authorities
BCCI hosted the visit of the Spanish Confederation of Corporate Associations (CEOE) which is the only organization representing employers in Spain.
During the opening of the meetings Rafael Catalá, Deputy Minister of Infrastructures, Transports and Housing expressed his willingness to share his experience in bringing together the efforts of Spain and Bulgaria to create a better future. He described Bulgaria as a reliable partner and a good place for investments.
H.Exc. Mr. Jose Luis Tapia, Ambassador of Spain welcomed the participants and expressed his hope that the considerable interest on the Spanish part should materialize in good business cooperation. The Vice President of the Spanish Confederation of Corporate Associations - Juan Lazcano expressed his gratitude for the organization of the meeting to the Embassy of Spain in Bulgaria.
Tsvetan Simeonov, BCCI President revealed that Spain is a major trading partner and its potential and significance of its relations with the countries of South America make it extremely important for Bulgaria. BCCI’s President also declared his willingness to assist in the development of business relations between Bulgaria and Spain by means of advice and consultations regarding the choice of a region for investments or settlement of disputes.
Yordanka Fandakova, Mayor of Sofia, also took part in the meetings with Spanish business representatives. Mrs. Fandakova presented five upcoming key projects in infrastructure, waste management, water cycle and transport. Representatives of the municipalities of Varna, Pazardzhik, Pleven, Plovdiv, Sliven and Shumen attended the presentations as well.
