The President and Vice-President of the Bulgarian Chamber of Commerce and Industry, Mr. Tsvetan Simeonov and Mr. Georgi Stoev, met with representatives of the Japanese company ITOCHU Corporation.
Mr. Takeshi Kumekawa, Member of the Board of Directors of ITOCHU Corporation shared his company’s great experience in constructing solar parks, wind generators, wind parks and other high-tech projects. The corporation is looking for future Bulgarian partners.
Mr. Simeonov expressed BCCI’s readiness to assist ITOCHU Corporation in finding future partners in the country. He also suggested that the company should introduce its projects in various Bulgarian municipalities, where, according to the Chamber, there is a lot of potential for joint projects.
Afterwards, a meeting of the Club Council of the Bulgarian-Japanese Economic Council at the BCCI was held. It was noted that donations can be made to the Japanese Red Cross for the Japanese citizens, who were affected by the earthquake and tsunami, which hit Japan on March 11. Beesides, the idea to establish a Bulgarian-Japanese Fund for Cooperation in the Field of Eco-agriculture and Eco-foods was discussed. It would in the long run allow the Japanese to consume Bulgarian eco-products.
