At the BCCI the Slovenian Experience in e-Services and e-Government Was Presented
On April 5th, 2011 the Bulgarian Chamber of Commerce and Industry and the Chamber of Commerce and Industry of Slovenia organized a Bulgarian-Slovenian ICT Business Forum. Mr. Tsvetan Simeonov, President of the BCCI, opened the forum and greeted the participants – Bulgarian and Slovenian IT companies and organizations. The IT sector provides a lot of quickly developing opportunities and numerous applications.
Ms. Mateja Rudolf, representative of RR&Co. Education and Knowledge Center in Slovenia held a special presentation on applying for EU grant funding for IT companies and state administration organizations.
The participants were introduced to the e-Government systems of Bulgaria and Slovenia. Undoubtedly, Slovenia has advanced a lot in this area – the state is currently implementing its third e-Government strategy and has developed a third-generation portal for it. Additional applications for children and teenagers and for the elderly, which have different interface and respond to the specific needs of each age group, have been developed for the portal. Bulgaria still implements its first e-Government programme. By 2015 the main registers on national and municipal level should be connected.
The Slovenian companies presented their services. They have developed a lot of registers and systems for document and data transfer and processing in Slovenia, Croatia, Montenegro and Serbia. A lot of good examples of the application of electronic services were provided. Later on, the Slovenian companies held meetings with potential Bulgarian partners and outlined the areas for possible future cooperation.
