For the 22nd time, at an official ceremony the Bulgarian Chamber of Commerce and Industry conferred its annual awards for achievements in the categories: leading Bulgarian companies in the “Top 100” classification, regional chamber of commerce and industry, sectorial organization, ambassador, foreign commercial counsellor, media, and journalist.
Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Labour and Social Policy Ivaylo Kalfin, Minister of Regional Development and Public Works Lilyana Pavlova and Deputy Economy Minister Lyuben Petrov were official guests at the ceremony.
According to the President of BCCI Tsvetan Simeonov the fact that 2014 was significantly more profitable for the companies which were included in the classification on the basis of objective data from their annual financial reports is encouraging. More than 6000 companies accountable for 81.53% of the country’s GDP for 2014 participated in the ranking.
The awards went to companies:
SOFTGROUP OOD – ranked first in the category “Top 100 companies classified on alteration of net sales revenue 2014/2013”
MADARA-TERM EOOD – ranked first in the category “Top 100 companies classified on maximum value of profit in BGN on 100 BGN equity in 2014”
KCM TRADE OOD – ranked first in the category “Top 100 companies classified on maximum value of profit in BGN on 100 BGN sales revenue in 2014”
NURSAN OTOMOTIV EOOD – ranked first in the category “50 companies classified on the alteration of profit 2014/2013”
In the category “Top 10x6 – companies, classified on maximum value of sales revenue and profit for 2014 in the National Planning Regions” a plaque and honorary diploma were awarded to:
- in the Northwestern planning region – OLIVA AD, town of Knezha;
- in the Northeastern planning region – DEVEN AD, town of Devnya;
- in the North Central planning region – STING AD, town of Razgrad;
- in the Southwestern planning region – AURUBIS BULGARIA AD, town of Pirdop;
- in the Southeastern planning region – NAFTA TRADING AD, city of Bourgas;
- in the South Central planning region – TEKLAS BULGARIA AD, town of Kardzhali.
In the “Sectorial Organization” category, the Chamber awarded the Bulgarian Association – Labour, Health, Safety.
The Chamber of Commerce and Industry – Plovdiv was awarded in the category “Regional Chamber of Commerce and Industry” for its contribution to the achievement of BCCI’s goals and objectives.
In the “Ambassador” category, with Hermes Bronze Statuette and Honorary Diploma, BCCI awarded H.E. Luis Ferraz, Head of Mission of the Embassy of the Portuguese Republic to the Republic of Bulgaria, for his outstanding contribution to the development of the bilateral economic relations.
In the category “Foreign Commercial Counsellor” the award went to Mrs. Anne Defourny, Economic and Commercial Counsellor, Wallonia Export and Investment Agency – Sofia, Embassy of the Kingdom of Belgium to the Republic of Bulgaria for her outstanding contribution to the promotion of the economic cooperation between Bulgaria and Belgium.
In the “Media” category Television TV+ was awarded for objective presentation of the Chamber’s role as the biggest national employers’ organization in the business life of the country, covering of the positions of its members on topical issues and regular broadcasting of news about BCCI’s daily activities.
In the “Journalist” category, the prize for 2015 went to Mrs. Pravda Dobreva, Television BNT 2, for objective covering of the positions of BCCI and its members on current business topics, with distinct attention to the problems of Bulgarian entrepreneurs and the role of the Chamber in defending their interests.
For the first time an award in partnership between BCCI and Coface Bulgaria was presented in the category “Excellent SME in 2015” to VACUUM EL SYSTEM OOD.
The guests at the ceremony were able to participate in an exhibition-gustation of the Bulgarian companies: GRADSKO SELO OOD, DIMITAR MADJAROV 2 EOOD, GOLYAMO VRANOVO INVEST AD, ORBELUS WINERY, VIA VERDE M EOOD, ANGELUS ESTATE AD, BESSA VALLEY WINERY, VILLA MELNIK WINERY, KAROL-FERNANDEZ MEAT, TODOROFF BUOTIQUE WINE CELLAR.
