THE ECONOMY IN 1999
In 1999 the Gross Domestic Product (GDP) of the country has reached 22,776 mln. BGN in current prices. It has been increased with 2.4% as compared to the previous year.
The Gross Value Added (GVA), amounting to in 19,891 mln. BGN, in total covers 87.3% of the Gross Domestic Product. The largest share in the Gross Value Added - 55.9%, are of the branches in the sphere of services, followed by the industrial sector - 26.8% and the agrarian sector with 17.3%. |
The alterations of the Gross Value Added (at basic prices), are positive in the sphere of services, with an increase of 15.3%, followed by reduction in the industry with 3.3% and reduction in the agriculture with 14.9%.
Structural alterations in the economy are also remarked with the increase of the share of the private sector in the Gross Value Added - from 63.7% in 1998 to 65.3% in 1999. The alterations of the private sector in the reprocessing industry are really considerable - with growth of 20.2%, services +14.8%, trade and repair +12%, transport +7.9%. |
