The Swedish Embassy in Sofia and the Swedish business community in Bulgaria in cooperation with the Bulgarian Chamber of Commerce and Industry are pleased to invite you to a seminar in Sofia on 30 November. The seminar will focus on business opportunities and access to financing in the Bulgarian market. The event will also provide an exclusive opportunity to networking with local partners and stakeholders.

On the occasion of the visit to Bulgaria of the Swedish State Secretary for Industry and Trade, Mr Lars-Olof Lindgren, we are taking the opportunity to arrange a seminar promoting an increased knowledge of opportunities offered in bilateral co-operation between our two countries and also as a meeting point for business operators.

Among the topics to be discussed are:

• views of Bulgarian priorities for bilateral economic co-operation in the industrial sectors
• the Swedish perspective on the development of Swedish – Bulgarian relations
• Off-set operations as a catalyst for increased trade and common technical development
• Swedish business representation in the Bulgarian market
• Financing, investment and export credits with Swedish links for industrial programs in Bulgaria

Speakers and networking
The speakers are representing the Bulgarian Ministry of Economy and Energy, Foreign Ministry Project Finance Facility, the Nordic Investment Bank, Swedfund, Swedish Export Credit Guarantee Board (EKN), the Bulgarian Encouragement Bank, Swedish enterprises and the InvestBulgaria Agency.

A coffee break and a buffet luncheon will also give participants an excellent opportunity for networking.

Target groups
The participants in the seminar will be Bulgarian decision makers and Swedish enterprises. The Swedish participants are also offered the opportunity to invite local customers and other potential partners, e.g. institutions, road directorates, electric power industry, construction companies, etc. The Embassy and the Bulgarian CCI will also see to it, that other important stakeholders are invited. Around 100 guests are expected to attend the seminar.

Reception at the Swedish Ambassador’s residence
The Ambassador will invite to a reception at the residence, the evening before the seminar, for Swedish participants and invited participants at the seminar as well as high-level representatives of the Bulgarian business sector and administration.
